Suilven sunrise, from Canisp |
Mountain |
In midsummer the sun rises in the north-east, illuminating the north-facing flanks of the mountains. This view of Suilven is from near the summit of the neighbouring peak of Canisp. Loch na Gainimh lies beneath. The second image as taken two years after the first, from a slightly lower vantage point to the east.
